STEP 01

Download & Install Ledger Live

Ledger Live serves as your all-in-one companion app for desktop and mobile. Always confirm that you are installing the genuine version directly from official portals. This application manages firmware upgrades, cryptographic accounts, staking pools, and real-time portfolio analytics without exposing your private keys.

STEP 02

Set Up PIN & Hardware Genuine Check

Connect your device using the included USB-C cable. Power it on, navigate using hardware buttons, and choose a unique 4 to 8-digit PIN code. Next, Ledger Live executes an automated cryptographic handshake to verify that the internal Secure Element has not been compromised or pre-configured by third parties.

STEP 03

Write Down 24-Word Recovery Phrase

Your device will generate twenty-four unique words on its tamper-proof screen. Write every word accurately on your provided recovery sheets. Never enter these words on any computer keyboard, smartphone, or cloud backup. Anyone possessing this mnemonic holds absolute access to your funds, regardless of device location.
