OFFICIAL ONBOARDING PORTAL
Welcome to the official initialization protocol for your cold storage wallet. Safeguarding your digital assets begins here. By setting up your Ledger device via the genuine application ecosystem, you preserve full self-custody over crypto tokens, non-fungible collections, and decentralized identities while locking out remote exploits, malicious phishing, and unverified third-party intrusions.
01
Obtain the companion client exclusively from the verified Ledger portal. Ledger Live serves as the mission control for your crypto journey, granting you direct access to monitor portfolios, execute transfers, buy or swap currencies, and install device applications while private keys remain securely isolated.
02
Power on your physical unit and establish a custom 4-to-8 digit PIN. Next, carefully copy the 24-word Secret Recovery Phrase generated inside the certified Secure Element chip directly onto paper. This offline master backup is the only emergency key to recover your balance if your device is misplaced.
03
Complete the cryptographic Genuine Check through the Ledger Live interface. Our proprietary operating system validates the authenticity of internal components against root authentication servers, guaranteeing your hardware has not been tampered with or cloned anywhere across the distribution supply chain.
Ledger will never prompt you for your 24-word recovery phrase on any web browser, mobile keyboard, phone call, or email form. Never photograph your recovery sheet, upload it to cloud storage, or type it into any digital device. Anyone in possession of these 24 words can claim total control over your funds without physical access.
